WSGS History

The club started in early 1972  with the assistance of Berg's Hobbies Parramatta and was called the Parramatta Wargamers Club.  Back in those days the games played were Ancients WRG 4th Ed 25mm,  WW2 WRG Rules and AWI using Airfix rules, as well as Chainmail and later D&D. We also had a club library which still exists.

In 1972 the founding members were Stephen Goldie (President),  Mark Hayes (Secretary) and Stuart Hold (Treasurer).
Thanks to Stuart Hold for his memory on this one.

Our club commenced tournaments under the leadership and direction of Gary
Kenworthy in the 1980's and WSGS have been running an annual event every
year to promote our hobby and our club.
