News

07/03/2004 Meeting.

Three families painted at the painting desk for our monthly family day. Later the kids played Yu-Gi-Oh. One of the Parents attending is an ex Teacher, and she was very impressed and happy to have her child participate. We had 6-8 players for the 40K 750 point round robyn. This was a lead in to the 40K Campaign which commenced on the 21/03/2004. The Battletech campaign and a Tactika game were also played. Rob manned the Hot Dogs stall and the 6 years olds through calling them Orc fingers was very funny.

21/03/2004 Meeting

40K was the big game of the day, with a lot of new players given an opportunity to learn the rules.

AD&D Commentaries

I don’t know about you but the party that I’m travelling with is always complaining about the food. What do they expect with a wood fire, a fry pan or pot if I’m lucky and fresh Goblin fillets.

As for help they arrive with corn & potato chips, and wonder at my frustration. Iron rations are supposed to include beef jerky, but these adventurers have not once turned up with any.

So last week while in the town, I secured some oyster sauce, it’s like the Roman fish sauce only made with small oysters. If you knew how it was made you would not eat it. The Angles and Saxons also have a fish sauce called "Pick me up" or Worcester sauce.

Once the fry pan was searing hot, I threw on the goblin fillets with some oyster sauce. Another in the party had brought some bread, so we had BBQ Goblin fillet sandwiches.

No complaints this time, in fact my brave adventurers went out and brought back some additional fresh Goblin and even filleted it for me. For those that cannot access Goblin fillets, mundane lamb will do nicely on the BBQ with Oyster Sauce.
